Reflection Tutorial

Most people know how to create a nice reflection using a gradient but there is one problem with that if you want to change the background where the image is you have to change the image itself so using this new method you can keep have the image where ever you want and it will still look good!

Step 1: Create a new image what ever size you want but make sure it is double that od the image you wish to reflect.

Step 2: Create a new layer and paste the image you wish to reflect onto it.



Step 3: Duplicate this layer and flip it vertically.



Step 4: Move this layer directly under the first layer.



Step 5: Create a selection halfway over the bottom of the reflected image.



Step 6: Feather Selection by 50px



Step 7: Then delete the selection and lower the layer transparency to 50%

Note: Make sure you save it as a gif or jpeg otherwise it won't be transparent!
